Tunes from The Hill
Huskies, how has your fall been? I hope you’ve been enjoying the air on The Hill – the golden leaves scattered around campus, the Apple Shed’s freshly baked apple turnovers, and warm soup in the dining commons. It’s so cozy and warm this time of year, so I’m sharing the music that has been getting me into the fall spirit. Linked here is a playlist of some songs that feel like fall on The Hill to me. If you’re in need of some good jams for your walk to class, check it out! If you’re looking for somewhere to start, here are my top picks:
- Green Eyes - JOSEPH. This song will make you want to dance. Grab a friend, share an AirPod, and get ready for all of the giddy feels with this one.
- Golden Hill - Tristeza. I mean, it has the word “golden” in the title… Can you get more autumnal than that? This one will make you feel straight out of a Gilmore Girls episode. If you’re looking to romanticize your walk through campus like you’re going to Yale in the late 90s, this one’s for you.
- Lover - Taylor Swift. I couldn’t make a fall playlist without some T-Swift. “Lover” is for all of my hopeless romantics who dream of a cuddly coffee shop date before the snow falls.
- Crimson & Clover - Tommy James & The Shondells. Something slow and sweet, perfect for baking some pumpkin bread in your kitchen (or your dorm parent’s kitchen) on a foggy Sunday morning.
- This Will Be Our Year - The Zombies. Something a little more upbeat, a good tune for skipping down Alumni Path and kicking leaves aside on your way to the Dinning Commons. Uplifting and warm – the perfect song to get you through those moody October days.
With love, from The Hill
